Description
Ciliegia Dolce is a dark skinned, small fig typical of the Mount Etna family of figs. It has a dark berry jam flavor with hints of cherry brightness that is very typical of other figs in this family. It has been a reliable producer for me, though remains a smaller tree.
It was a neighborhood fig tree in Connecticut that reportedly originally came from Southern Italy, much like San Donato di Ninea which comes from Calabria. It seems to do well in all climates.
